Gary Putland is a young man who is the product of Southern District Cricket Club youth programs. He was first selected in the Ray Sutton team, from there representing South Australia at the state SAPSASA level and then progressing through the Stingrays Under 14’s and Under 16’s and into senior grade cricket.
Gary has represented South Australia at U/17, U/19, state second eleven, domestic one day cricket, the domestic Twenty/20 competition and Sheffield Shield competition. Gary was also chosen to represent Australia at the national U/19 team level. He is currently a state contracted player with the Redbacks.
Most recently, Gary played a major role in delivering South Australia’s first domestic title in 25 years, bowling an amazing final over in the Ryobi one-day final.

My cricket has steadily improved and I am now representing South Australia and the Redbacks. I look forward to meeting those players who are successful in making the academy. ”
